Protect photo attendance with GPS

A practical guide for owners and administrators. FuzeWork compares the location of a check-in or check-out photo with the project location and stores the result with that photo. It does not continuously track the worker.

Enable photo attendance for the project

This feature is available with PRO and active Photo attendance. In Project management, open a project, expand Attendance features and rules, and set Photo attendance to Optional or Required. Optional leaves the worker a choice; Required asks for a photo at both check-in and check-out.

Set the real project location

In the project’s Basic information, add GPS coordinates. Enter them manually, resolve them from the project address, or use the administrator’s current location while on site. Use Show GPS on map to verify that the point matches where workers actually arrive.

Choose warning and error distances

Enable Validate GPS on this project. For example, enter 200 m for Warning from distance and 400 m for Error from distance. Below 200 m is OK, 200–399 m is a warning, and 400 m or more is an error. The error distance must be greater than the warning distance.

Normal day: the worker arrives on site

The worker selects the project, takes a photo, and starts the shift. When the photo is within the allowed distance, GPS is marked as verified and no issue is created. The same check runs for photo check-out.

Near the project: show a warning

In this example, the check-out photo was taken 208 m from the project. With a 200 m warning and 400 m error limit, it receives a yellow GPS warning. The record stays visible for review, but no attendance issue is created.

Outside the allowed area: create an issue

A check-in 603 m from the project exceeds the 400 m error limit. The photo receives a red GPS error badge and FuzeWork automatically creates an attendance issue linked to the worker, day, project, and photo.

Review and resolve the exception

The new item appears among issues requiring attention and under Detected issues in the day detail. Open it, review the context, and follow the normal attendance or quality-issue lifecycle, including comments, correction, and closure.
